I got my first discus from Barb. In fact she helped me to get into the discus hobby. She lived about 10 mins from me and we became friends. I still have some of her turq strains.
I will try to find out how her two kids are doing.

Barb, still thinking of you dear, miss you.
Also Lee, brother, I'm sure you're doing a lot of water changes up there together.
I'm sure you two are happy with all those fish killers down here, don't worry, we keep on sending them, take good care of them,

Never met Barb, saw her posts and help in the forum but got to meet Lee and visit at his home in Atlanta , spent a long time in his basement around all his fish talking fish and about life . Saw him at the ACA in Atlanta and I offered him my Banquet ticket , he was surprised and asked me twice , are you sure ??? that was the last time I saw him.
Lee, hope you are in a better Life up there !

So many things that Barb and Lee represented in the hobby continue here on Simply. The both of them were great hobbyist, helpful to others and had a severe passion for discus. They will never be forgotten. God Bless you both!

I can't believe how many years it has been since Barb's passing. She is the person that brought me back into discus after having had a few misfortunes. I feel honored to have met this special lady and hope that the tanks I have here from her will always be filled with discus.
The passion and strength she had reminds me each and every time I think of her...okay now there's someone I would like to be like.
Thanks Hans for bringing this thread back up. Wow time
