I cull all the Beaky fry and keep round ones only. The ones I'm growing out looks to follow in this group foot step... Larry, great job growing them so far.

Along with the Piwos, Rich also sent me some P Blue angels. They have just now matured and started to pair off. Here is my favorite hopeful pair. Smokey Blues. They just laid eggs this morning. No background on the tank and a crappy light so you really don't see all the beautiful blue on these guys.

They turned out very nice! Really nice fins on those two. Must have 6-7 hundred eggs on the cone. Good luck!!
Very nice "pair"? I hope you get some wrigglers soon.:D From the looks of it they appear to be a male and a female.
Smokey Blue pair is confirmed.
Great news Larry! Were you able to pull some of the fry from the cone?
The first batch on the cone were not fertile. I went ahead and pulled the pair and put them in a planted 29. They laid again this week and have wigglers. Should go free swimming today tomorrow. I haven't pulled any. Waiting to see how they will be as parents.
Larry, any updated pics/videos on the piwo's? Curious to see how they are turning out.
Sure, here is a video taken tonight after their water change. The largest ones are now 5 1/4 to 5 1/2" and the runt is 4". Also included the juvie angles from the smokey blue pair. First tank is zebra's and platinums and the 2nd tank are all somokies. Oh, the first tank also temporarily has some electric blue acara growing out also.

WOW, you make it look so easy maybe 1 of these day's had a batch make it 3 week's too free swimming and after after about 2 week's I had too pull them as they were eaten, first 1 just pulled the male, but saw the female eat several weather I panic, when I tried too pull female as they were many were still attached abd must very close too her as several died within min's and many each day after sat they laid egg's again this time they are in a 29 gallon breeder maybe 1 of these day's i'll be successful, btw even your rant at 4 in at it's age is impressive
Looking good!
Thanks guys. Hang in there Ronald, patience is the key.
Looking good Larry. I checked out your fishroom video. Very nice! You have similar tastes to mine as far as discus go and it was great seeing your tanks. The last wild tank is amazing.
Just over 15 months old, 6"+, first spawn.
