Hey J-
Can you tell us more about your tank set up, water parameters and change routine, fish stocking, etc.? Might get more response with more info

4.5 hour later
First you might try upping your water changes to daily but start slow as the water is mostly likely pretty acidic and the filter bacteria will need time to catch up. Clean water is a huge step in the right direction. Are you sure you have a male/female? Also what is that surface those eggs are laid on?
Pat
So today I can see mold growing on the eggs.

I Think you probably are losing the eggs to poor water quality... looking at the last 2 pics it looks like you had some fertile eggs.. The last pic you still have some that look like they will hatch but theres less.
I would start by looking closer at your water. With the changes you are doing and a pH of 6.5 you may have your pH bouncing around and crashing. Do you know what the pH is out of your tap? Or what your gH and kH are?
al
TDS out of the tap is 156. But i auto top off with zero TDS (RODI) so the tank should be a little lower.
PH is 7.5 out of the tap.
Ill uptake water changes considerable and see what happen. should have a new batch of eggs in a couple weeks.
Thanks for everyones advice.
Do some research on hydrogen peroxide and methyl blue to keep the fungus down. Even if they hatch, you won't have very much success with your current water change schedule. Fry will need daily water changes at 75%. If you have a pair, you should be doing 50% every day. You shouldn't have any ammonia and you should have nitrates if your tank is cycled.
thanks,
I've just removed my substrate and did a 80% water change.
Starting fresh today and i'll do 50%/day and see if that works.
Going to have to set up a better design for all these water changes. Maybe i'll set them up in a smaller tank?
29g tank would be fine for the pair until the fry are born. You could then move fry to 55g once they have grown a little.
Water changes are a pain, if you aren't setup correctly. I'm also looking into options to make it easier for my setup. Changing even 50% three times a week is tough enough when you are working with over 100 gallons.
When I get a spawn like that, it usually means that the male is not fertile or mostly infertile. For a working male, most (> 90%) of the eggs in the spawn will darken and develop. I find that R/O or tap water has no effect. The male is shooting blanks. Water changes, large or small, do not affect egg development. I prefer large water changes.
