The most interesting concept of all of your threads concerning contestant fish is simply that your fry is still with the parents. It is fundamentally different than all others in the contest and will likely be an interesting data point to consider when the contest finishes. It had to be mentioned I think....
Not all my fry but three of four batches are (the first batch wasn't). It helped alot when I culled down to eight, those eight felt fine as long as they were with mom and dad.
Eddie the fish in picture three is the same as the one in picture four, and that particular fish is a 14 bar. I am very interested to see how it developes.

Not all but a close majority are very skittish and look uncomfortable in groups of 8 at this young age. Likely if the groups were larger it would cut down on the stress. I have to say I really like your savvyness in keeping your groups of 8 (3 of 4) with at least one parent. They look less stressed to me and overall in great health. Just my observations. This contest is great for ideas. I think you just have me a great one!
