i bought this because
1. seems asia loves fish more than usa
2. it was cheap
3. the name was too tempting "universal fish medicine"
wondering though if anyone has ever used it on this board.

I swear I bought every one of these medicine, but they are in my storage for the whole time. They are so cheap and I actually afraid to use. A bottle of kanamycin like this for $3 ... I temped and paid, but dare not use lol. Would you please ....? try and tell me the outcome :D
It could be anything and I know some of the products from China like dog food has killed and made dogs sick. I personally would take a pass. Plus it is always better to have a handle on what you are treating and use a specific medication for it vs shotgunning and hoping for the best.

I have been a resident in China off and on since 2008 and would advise caution.
Certain Chinese products are as good as one can find. However, unless one knows
the source and what he is doing, using something like your product is a crap shoot.
It is no different from buying a fish from Kenny versus one of the obvious discus
scammers who are all over the internet.
I had a friend that was sold on a Magical Yellow Powder claiming it's use was to medicate freshwater fish with any disease and he fell for it....the day later found all the 14 African Cichlids and 6 plecos in the tank dead.
Like the others...I would not use it unless someone you really-really trust has used the same before without any issues.
...Ralph

You can get a ton of Metro from jehmco pretty cheap.

i got enough to feed them a course of treatement, but not a help. something is REALLY out of whack with my water, nitrates are silly high.
I just got done battling a VERY persistent HEX outbreak!
The 500 gram size is a lot of metro...

that is a way better price than google was turning up, wonder why jehmco was coming up, guess they need some search engine optimization tuning.
hex = white poo, right?
mine are getting ulcers and hole in head, they are eating great, and poo looks normal too.
yes, the telltale sign of Hex is the poo. But I missed an early symptom. The fish would eat normally and then they would start wobbling. They couldn't swim right after eating.
