Re: New discus not eating
As long as it is eating your alright. Not sure of the benefits of pork heart. Seems like all over the world people feed different types of heart. Beef heart started it. It’s not a natural food it was done because people couldn’t afford fish living inland. Your fdbw is a much better choice. Also if you can get the black worm flakes and some pellet food. My discus eat everything dropped in. Mince the pork heart and feed it once or twice a week right before your water changes. This way you remove all the left over food.
Re: New discus not eating
Would you first cook the pork heart? Eating under cooked pork infected with Trichinella spiralis can lead to trichinosis in humans. Would fish be at risk as well?

Not sure where you guys are base, guessing USA?
Here in South East Asia pork heart is used as a staple discus food. I buy it prepared into cubes frozen from the breeder. All discus specialists feed it here alongside 100% daily wc. I also feed some pellets & marine flakes.
