Apistogramma Elizabethae Pair
I got this pair from Mark and have had them about a week. They are starting to color up a bit.

Love the finnage on the caudal fin of the male and yet colors coming good.
I am waiting for some cacautoides right now a more current dwarf but I like it
anyway.

I agree with Julian. That color on the fins is outstanding. TFS

By this time next year, Pat will have racks and racks of 20 longs set up to breed Apistos. ;)
In all seriousness they look great, and though small, dwarf cichlids are lots of fun. They still have big cichlid attitudes and you can fit way more of them into a small space. And on the plus side they can mix with discus in most cases, so you'll always have room for grow-outs.

Thanks Ryan, I will actually only do a couple tanks due to limited outlets but the growout with the discus sounds promising. :)

sad to say I haven't yet shot with an off camera flash yet with this group. I guess I've been scared to freak them out, lol. That has never been the case with any of my past discus, but raising these guys from so young kind of changes the way I deal with them.
