i was chatting with a few folks at NADA, and I mentioned my garden. Here's a few pics. The first is a pano, then a few locals.

very nice! I wish we had that much backyard here in LA. You'd easily get in to the $700-$800k based on that back yard alone, lol.

Very nice Steve.
Was great meeting you and your lovely wife Cindy. Hope to do it again some time.
Steve, Nice Garden and yard! Milk Weed flowering yet?Mine bloomed last week. Does the swing see much use?

Thanks, yes, but we don't really want that to happen to our neighborhood yet!
Thanks Joe. It was fun getting to chat.
I actually re-did the garden to remove some things I didn't want, including some invasive non-native milkweed. I don't have any milkweed this year, and I haven't seen a single Monarch! I have to be happy with the Swallowtails and Admirals :)
Beautiful Steve and I see a garden in the back :)
Pat
Wonderfully large yard & garden - like Ricardo, I wish I had one like yours - mine's all of 70' wide X only 25' deep.
I didnt realize they were invasives there. Are there any native milkweeds in your area? Two weeks ago.we had a pair of Monarchs dancing above the milkweed.Yesterday we had our first caterpillars hatching..have 3 so far and more eggs...Since you maybe missing them.. heres one for you..:)Quote:

cell phone pic...Plan on more pics with the dslr as they grow but was out today

Yes, I have three different varieties I collected. One, possibly the second, are native.
I could look up the name, but it's the narrow leaf that is native.
Lovely garden Steve. I need that heron to put by my pond to scare away others. Sure looks real. Hope you get lots of good eats from that garden!
Barb
SO, here's the heron today, in the middle of the butterfly garden.

You have to use your imagination, and maybe zoom in, but this is about a 180 pano, from the back.

The Death Trap. My cat sits in the foliage waiting for hummingbirds at the nasturtiums.
