Re: Your Place, Your Beer!
Oh that looks like a good one. Our city is pretty progressive with the brews I should be able to find it. If not I think I may be in enough with the good people at the local watering hole they could procure it. Funny I thought this thread had winded down. It's baaaackk......

Come on guys... jump in here... about a month ago we were in Cape Cod and got hooked into a new micro brew called Hog Island Brewry. We made friends with the bartender and he gave us a tour of the back. We bought a 32 oz can of their Far Cut Stout. We held onto it longer than we meant to but cracked it open tonight. It’s still perfect. We were back this past weekend and it sounds like the bartender was let go but the beer lives on....longer than he lasted... enjoying it on this steamy summer night in upstate NY

That looks pretty tasty Jenene! Bummer about the bar tender though.
I wish I had something new to add here but I have been slacking on the beer the last month. Havent tried anything new in a while. But wow does an ice cold brew hit the spot with this nasty heatwave or what?!

I’m probably the only German adult male in the world who does not like beer. But don’t worry, I get made fun of for that on a regular basis :)

Beer is my favorite and you’d be a great person to kick back and have one with.

I’m in Patty! I’m sure these flat fish will give us the opportunity sooner or later. They seem to have a way of bringing SD members together. We would certainly have a great time! Until then... cheers!

Al, this is the place we didn’t know about the last time you were here. Up until a few months ago it was called The Stone Yard. It has since become The Beer Hall and Taps Room. Whichcraft is just a mile or so down the road.
I like it better because the atmosphere is less industrial and you can chat with the bartenders about the breweries they feature. It’s pretty interesting.
They have flights now. I had no idea and we go there all the time. They just don’t advertise that they have them.
There are a few other small individual breweries very nearby but this one is our standing favorite. It always has a really interesting list that changes weekly and their menu is more creative than average bar fare.
