Len your patience paid off. Good luck
Super nice color! Can't beat a wild carrying fry, ever!
I have to admit that it's a truly amazing site. I'm thankful I finally get to see it, but may not have if it weren't for all of the help I received from some really gracious people. I've had a million and one questions for Pat, Mark Chen, Dale Jordan plus others and they've all answered them for me and given me different things to try until it finally worked out. That's one of great things about Simply -- there's always help available if you ask for it.
Well we've made it through day 5 of free swimming fry and they've been getting freshly hatched bbs since yesterday. Although I can't see them eating it, they have little round orange bellied so they must be eating at least some of it :)
Sweet news indeed Len. They make little darting motions going after the BBS.
Well the parents attitude has changed toward me in the past few days, and when I am near they go behind the piece of wood the spawn on with all of the babies so I really can't see what they are doing. Once I leave the room, I can look around the corner minutes later and they're back out. Odd how they wouldn't flinch before when I was at the front of the tank and now seem to hide, but whatever makes them happy at this point is all good.
Yeah, I'm anxious to watch that too Eddie. They seem to be growing a lot so far, so I can't wait to see them after a month or so. I'll try to get some more videos if they start cooperating a bit again.
Len, this is the batch B catching BBS. They are quite a bit older then your guys so not sure if it will help

Glad to hear the continued good news Len. I've been watching for a new post on and off all day. :)
Wow, they are really getting big.
Awe i love to see pics of parents and babies!
 I suppose though since the parents have learned a new protection method, hiding, you don't have a real good idea how many you actually have yet.
