Keeping breeder tank algae free
Ok so I am tired of the constant fight with diatoms/algae in my breeding tanks. I have (6) 29gal breeders going right now, 50% water changes at least twice weekly (daily with fry), led lights on usually 6-7 hours a day (have lowered the time), sometimes full light, others diffused with poster board, and sometimes just blue actinic. Whisper 3 filters and dual sponges in each. Fish are healthy and happy and lay regularly. Just tired of the magnet on the front and sides and brushing the bottoms, corners and backs. Ph 7 TDS approx. 60
Understand light period and more frequent WC help but doesn't eliminate the algae.
Would like some recommendations that will not affect the eggs and fry. Meth blue constantly? Melafix? Pimafix? Potassium Permanganate?

What's your water's phosphate and/or silicate levels? When I struggled with algae my levels were coming into my home off the scale.
