Thanks Pat, I was hoping to get a good decent size at least 6" when they turn one year old. Then I'll be picking which is going to NADA and for future breeding stock.

I would say you are definitely on target for 6+ maybe Brian. Always great to have more folks entering the home bred class. :D Keep up with the photos on these guys, would love to see how they turn out!!

Thank you!

That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen today-or yesterday for that matter. I’ve tried to count them. How many are there? I count 34-37. I would buy this as a puzzle and I don’t do puzzles. So cool!

Really cool, keep us updated!

No silver dollars? :p
Very nice, uniform fish. Could you share more about the setup? I'm sure it's quite the sight with 30+ beauties swimming around.

Sweet--even without syrup!
What size tank is that and do you do more than 1x/day 100% water changes?
What do you keep in the Eheim canister--original recipe or your own special blend of ingredients?
I'll take a stack, hold the butter.

You're probably very close but I don't know how many exactly. I keep downsizing and selling some to make more room, since I can only keep few for future breeding.

My setup is very simple, 50G tank, running 2 sponge and 1 canister filter. Also I'm using a regular cheap LED strip from Lowe's. Nothing really fancy setup, I installed UV sterilizer for the bigger tanks but turn it OFF few months later because realized didn't actually need it since I do large daily WC anyway.

Tank size: 50G
WC: 100%-150% daily.
Canister: I'm using original bio-media plus Sera Siporax Bio Active.
Re: Pancakes for everyone...8 months old.
Nice job! Great example that tank size is not particularly important when you do regular water changes.

This is very impressive !! not many people share the secrets on successful grow-outs. Thanks Bryan :)
I'm really surprised the number of fish in that tank and still having such high growth rate. Never thought that's possible!
How many feedings do you do in a day ? Apart from water changes do you also siphon the dirt occasionally ?
Re: Pancakes for everyone...8 months old.
Amazjng!. Love to see a picture of the group when the tank is full if possible 🙏
