Gravity switch on Aqueon heaters
I just bought some Aqueon Pro 300W heaters (cheaper than the 250's). They have a gravity switch that shuts the heater off if the top tilts below the bottom of the heater. Is this a new feature? When I mounted them, it was always horizontal. Nowadays I just let them lie, without brackets in my bare bottom tanks. The top never goes below horizontal, but still an interesting feature to consider.
Re: Gravity switch on Aqueon heaters
Steve, are they the new ones with the clear/red switch? No clue if that's a new feature or not...
Re: Gravity switch on Aqueon heaters
Yes, that's them. If that's their new design, I guess I'll learn to work with it.

It must be a new feature. My old pro wont do it.
