That sounds perfect Al. It is still pretty hot here so not a lot of activity bird wise except for the resident birds.

Sounds like fun. My favorite bird, the Cedar Wax Wing doesn't generally show up until February although last year I had a group show up in November. They are so cool. They gather en mass in one of my female holly trees, pick it clean and leave suddenly in one great group.

I'm interested! We have wild Macaws in our neighborhood and I'd love to take a shot for you guys. I do have food in my yard for birds and my yard attracts exotics animals including foxes.

Al, after seeing that photo I feel intimidated. I'll never be able to post anything of that quality unless I'm just crazy lucky.

Liz, its not necessary to post a great pic. Most bird watchers use binoculars, the image they make on your eyes is poor at best, but its enough to ID many birds. in the field, I will often just snap a pic of a bird so I can ID it latter, thats all we need here for this thread. Nothing fancy though fancy works too!

Lol, I'm not sure how this humming bird died, but I found it in perfect color, wings outstretched, and tongue out...feeding on a power socket perhaps??

This little bugger with a big voice loves to hassle my cat when she's in the back yard.

No way! Thats nuts Danny! Its tongue is extended. Electrocution potential ..very high!
