Re: 5 X Discus not eating
Hmm, saving sick fish is definitely not a good idea. Especially if you already have existing fish, big no no. Definitely follow some strict quarantine guidelines or your other stock will feel the pain.
Since you already started treatment with Esha Hex, continue with that treatment. The amount of time is up to you but if the fish are in bad shape, I'd go 5-7 days. Just my opinion. Make sure you keep the tank spotless, vacumming feces constantly.

I really regret doing it now. Some good news and bad news. 2 have died but I could see it coming as they were wafer thin. 2 are eating better now bu one is bent, Imagine looking at it from the top, its head is over to the right.

That fish must be suffering?? :(
Re: 5 X Discus not eating
It was ok earlier, This happened in the past few hours. I am thinking the only way to help this one it to give it the alka seltzer treatment
Re: 5 X Discus not eating
I tell you what bill palumbo would tell you. Put it in a bag and slam it on the floor. there, I said it.

Yup and make sure you clean your hands well if you've touched the water or anything that fish came in contact with.
Re: 5 X Discus not eating
sound advice , desinfect everything that came in contact with them and their water

There are more humane ways of culling, IMO. I use a few drops of clove oil in some water.

I would dump all the fish that you got from this person. Just not worth the hassle.
Re: 5 X Discus not eating
That looks like a picture for the galerie of "don't buy a discus that looks like this"

Re: 5 X Discus not eating
You should post your method here for the OP to see. I've used the freezer method before and after having done that Maybe that was not the best. I prolonged the suffering.
