Nice group! Welcome!
Thanks Iminit!!
Hi Frank and welcome to the forum. Great tank and fish you have there. Care to tell us a little about your tank and discus?
Pat
very nice fish.

Thanks guys!! We have a 60 gallon cube with 6 Discus in it. It's been up and running (after cycling) for about a month and a half now, and so far so good. I know one of the fish in the background is a Diamond Blue, but quite honestly, I don't know what type of Discus our other 5 are? In fact, any help in identifying is appreciated. I've had tanks for years and years and have always wanted Discus- so here we go :)! Have a 180G saltwater, too.
I’ll take a shot. Blue one on left sporting the USSR logo looks like a blue carnation. Looks like one I got from Kenny’s this past summer. The solid orange could be a Mellon the one behind and below looks like a dark angel. Would like to see a side shot of it. The 2 last orange ones look like pigeon bloods or possibly checkerboards.
Ya Tom, I'm not sure to be quite honest??? Here is a nice side shot of some of them. Hope I attached the pic right...? The one that is most interesting to me is the one on the left.

Do you know anything about your discus? German or Asian? That one looks like a dark angel or a pigeon blood turq mix. I’ve got a pair of each of those and yours is pretty close. As to the blue. Here’s some of mine. First 2 are Hans German wonders and the last is a Kenny’s blue tiger carnation! To me they all look the same :).Attachment 130130
Beautiful fish, Tom!! Nice!! I have no clue on mine. They all come from a little store here in San Diego and the owner seems knowledgeable about the basics, but that's about it. And for me, I picked what I liked and looked different. I'm sort of new to the Discus, and there are sooooo many different ones, which makes them harder to identify (for me anyway), but I do want to say that they are probably from Asia.
Nice selection of discus. How long have you had them?
Hi, the one on the left would be a heavily peppered PB.
Thanks again Guys! I've had them for a couple months. At first the constant water changes seemed a bit much, but the whole process of taking care of them has become very therapeutic! You can almost see their appreciation in clean water and a clean tank. When I first got them they were so timid and skittish... Now, they see me walk in the room and they're like kids- they get so excited. They're also in our family room, so there is LOTS of action with kids and dogs, but they've adjusted to all the commotion quite well.
