Rose Red/SS cross new pair?
It still amazes me sometimes.18 fish in a 180,and these two find each other. They'er
from my original rose red female,ss male spawn. The male really starting to look like the blue faced browns.Ill see if they have wigglers, but time to give them their own tank.

Re: Rose Red/SS cross new pair?
Bill I have thought about similar situations in the past. I have noticed that fish will more times than not try to pair up with the our strain/color. Think about all of the animals that can be imprinted. I think discus may be the same way. If they are parent raised the first part of their lives that are looking at their parents. When it comes time to spawn I think this makes them tend to look for their own kind. Not 100% of the time, but more of when they can.

And they hadnt been together for awhile.Male was witht the original female,4 wigglers, enough to confirm him,and she's been in the 180 for months.Nothing scientific, but I had the same thing happen in the same tank with the only 2 cobalts in there last year.

It will be a little.Still in the catch-all 180.When they get their own digs, then we'll go from there.
Re: Rose Red/SS cross new pair?
