Tiger Stripe Silver Dollars ( Metynnis fasciatus )

Hello .... I hope this is the correct forum to place this question.... I tried to " google " information about Tiger Stripe Silver Dollar Fish... I would like to know what temps they are good with and where their distribution is.... I can't find anything except ' for sale '. Thanks for your help!!!

search it by the genus species name instead of its nickname. tons of information comes up. This is not a fish to keep with discus unless in a huge (500 +gallons) tank. I also think they prefer cooler water than discus.
