I have my fish on craigslist as well as here. I had the discus sold 8 times so far on Craigslist. Time to vent a little. One person started driving from Columbus(2 hour drive) and then turned around because it was to far to drive. One person wanted to buy them and take them 3 states away and had no bucket or equipment to safely transport them. Then there are the no shows. Crazy calls in the middle of the night. Need I go on. WOW.
I sell my fish spawns locally, including discus fry, angelfish, bristlenose and various L-number plecos. I've learned to only let people contact me via the craigslist e-mail system at first. My phone number is made available only after they follow up on my e-mail responses. They know my neighborhood and I only provide an address when they're ready to come over. If they ghost me, I block their e-mail and phone number.
It's unfortunate but that's what social media has made of this world.
