Glad to see them tearing it up.
They really do attack that stuff!
Hey Keith, beautiful fishes and nice background music.. So, u feed the Frozen BH directly or after thawing?
Thanks Mishka - if by the last red you're talking about the same fish that's in my signature line, I like that one too. :)
Thanks Pat, as zippy as those fish are now when I toss in heart the music just seemed to fit.
Thanks Mike. I like some of them more than others, but I REALLY like some of them.
I'm glad to be seeing them eat like that to Bill, thanks.
Nothing like Daddy's home cooking Brandon.
Thanks on both counts Allwin. I thaw the beefheart about 15 minutes before feeding it, or however long it is until I remember it's sitting on counter.
Thanks Keith, is it 15mins or 15seconds? :)
No microwaves allowed, definitely minutes.
He/she sure is pretty. Just love the shape. See now I am coveting two of your fish..lol
Mishka
I also like the music.

keith, how r these goldens/reds doing now?
Life has been keeping me busy but I still have been enjoying my fish, I still have tanks full of angels but I think I am ready to put down some money for some more discus and move in that direction. Now I have to decide what I want. I like those snow leopards a lot but I know I want some discus with the albino gene in them.
I am looking at stocking a 100 gallon with all new discus.
The discus I already have are big enough to breed but have not shown any interest.
The discus I got from Bill are more brown then red, I really like that red color so that was a little disappointing.
I am heading to Boulder in early October and have been checking craigs list but with all of the flooding I don't expect to find any there. My son lives in Nederland and I think it will be a challenge to get there. I will probably order something from one of the sponsors.

I have two goldens that are about the same size as yours, I would like to put them in a tank with discus that would make good pairs. Any suggestions on what type of discus to breed them with?
Mark
Mark you can look for some Marlboro Reds possibly? Or a yellow/brown based discus. But it sounds like you want reds or a red base?
I would like reds or a red base but I am thinking that If I added things to the food to bring out the red then it may turn the golden to a red color. Any thoughts?
Mark
I might pair them up with Blushing Reds or San Merahs from Kenny if you want red. You could do Fire Red's I guess, but PB's just aren't my thing. I've never used any color enhancers of any kind, so I really can't speak to what the goldens might do color wise with red color enhancers.
