Golden pair issue

Hi all,
I separated 2 golden to the breeding tank. I'm not sure if this is a real pair or not yet, but I'm running into a issue. Every time the female laying eggs, the other which I'm not so sure male or female will eat the eggs right away. This is the 2nd time this pair lays eggs. And same issue

Anyone has this same issue like me? Is it considered normal?

It could be another female, and if it's a young couple, let them experiment a few more times. You can always add a third fish to the breeding tank so that the parents are a bit more protective. Usually works.
