Someones been practicing! :)Nice shot Dave!
Quick story.. we have 3 inside cats here
. inside their whole lives..our oldest, Violet , was being harasessed through the screens by a wren. We have so many wrens here we call our house Wren Hollow. One day said wren was harassing Violet through the door. We had company and the porch door was openning and closing alot. Door openned.. violet ran out.. bolted across the deck, snagged the offending bird, ran back in and down to the basement before I or my guests knew what happened. The offending wren was never found but we dubbed violet "Wren Killer".Not bad for a 9 year old cat thats been inside her whole life..:)

Very sombering ..
https://www.nbcnews.com/mach/science...ay-ncna1055961
The population of birds at the start of breeding season in the U.S. and Canada has fallen from just over 10 billion to a little more than 7 billion in the last 50 years, the research showed.
We lost close to 30% of our birds in the last 50 years.. 50 years is a drop in the bucket of Time.. Thats a major wakeup call that all is not well in the Environment we depend on... For a life long bird watcher like myself its so saddening .

I heard it on NPR. One day this planet will no longer be able to sustain life. Even if we ever get down to zero carbon, which I doubt, we will still be cutting and slashing. JMHO

Little Blue Heron, one of my favorite Herons but one I rarely see here in CT. Its been years since I saw one.. Unfortunately it was far away.. This pic is pretty poor and cropped, but its what I have. One of the few times I was extremely jealous of the guy with the big $10,000-20,000 lens and set up next me... Talk about Lens envy.. I need to play lotto. I'm using a 30 Year old 300mm Lens here,,,good lens but it has its limits.:(
