Finally. The tank is here and ready for water- a 43 gallon Red Sea Reefer 170. I am really happy with the quality. From the cabinet to the sump. They even made the sump and auto top off out of the high clarity glass. Thanks to you guys for all the help, suggestions, and encouragement, Lido, Ryan925, Debow, Yom, DatDiscusdude, Bizarro252 and sorry if I forgot anyone! Your ideas for the tank, skimmer, light and pump, tips and tricks, make it truly a "community tank".
After the last 2 days of putting it and all the equipment together I learned all directions are terrible. From the cabinet to the skimmer, sump plumbing even the arm to hold the light up had tiny print, microscopic blurry pictures, and no words make assembly a bit more than awful. I found a few helpful videos and considered the rest as puzzles to be figured out with some patience. I have to straighten the light, put a wave maker in and mount all the controllers but I am calling it a day. Have been brewing ro/di all day as well. Scaping is next and then just add water and salt and substrate which I completely forgot about!
Stay tuned for chapter 2!:D
