Default Working on a new look

I have converted my planted 95 gallon tank to a sand bottom tank. I wanted to lighten up the tank a bit to show more of the colors of the fish. I am going to change my T5 planted bulbs over too once I figure a nice combo to bring out the blues and reds.

Here are some before and after pictures.

That looks great! Love the blue background with the white sand!

I have a pair of Dark Angels who have done nothing for me as of yet so I will put them in the big tank and give them a rest from spawning. Another reason for the sand to prevent peppering as I may add a couple pigeons too.

As soon as the big piece of driftwood sinks I may call it done once I get it positioned the way I want it. More room means happier fish!

Any recommendations for the German Rams to hide and spawn in? I heard they like caves but never seen them go in the ones I had; maybe because the plecos always took them first, lol.

Noooo more tanks until I get 2 more jobs and the days become 48 hours instead of 24. Never seems to be enough time in a day to take care of everything and have a life. Oh wait, what's that?

Jeff, wondering do you see a big time savings vacuuming sand versus the gravel? I do like the new look.

The gravel as a planted tank was about 4" deep and did require extra time cleaning, but the plants thrived in it so I did achieve what I was looking for.

As for the sand, very easy to clean with only a half inch base.

Now for someone wanting a planted tank substrate, I have the perfect established substrate for sale.
