Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Beautiful, is Ray really safe with discus? One of my LPS has 1 Ray in their wild discus tank
I'm planning to get one. What do you feed them?
Well to be honest we have been having a lot of problems with my kid being sick and the wife has been pushing me to get rid of everything right now. As you can see I am holding on up to this point
They are safe up until the point the ray gets large enough to consider discus as food. I never had a problem but my rays that I kept with discus never were bigger then 8" disc. Now my brother kept some 10-12" rays with some of his wild discus and it took them a few months they started attacking the discus and killed several. I feed mine worms, shrimp, scallops, pellet food, and tilapia

Sean, try to hold in there. Your son being sick is surely a temporary condition.

Sean I've been there too, they do get better although I remember those days too and the lack of hope! We used to be weekly at the dr with one or the other of my sickly kids. I was blessed with two...by the time they were one I think we had five specialists for each. But.. My oldest is almost 5 and my youngest is 3 is now the only one that still sees a specialist regularly because of his asthma. We have outgrown the need of all the others!

Beautiful Rays Sean. Have you had any luck yet with breeding or is that too far down the road?
Here is hoping for good things to come for you son. Prayers from all of us I am sure buddy.

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

Thanks Pat
Sounds like my life
We had to buy a breathing machine Monday because they think our guy is starting to have asthma problems also. Plus he had pneumonia two weeks ago and now has pneumitis whatever the heck that is.
Thanks Jeff,
No breeding yet mine are way to young maybe in a few years I hope

Sean - it gets better! We used the breathing machine too (nebulizer) still have it, but we have moved on to inhalers with spacers. It really does get better.
