Just to update: there was no attachment. I guess the WC right after the eggs were laid might have been the cause of the fry not developing. No worries. I would not be able to raise this batch before my trip anyway. It was just one more opportunity to learn.

I hope not, Pat I have no plans to have more excitement before the trip. I hope they will arrive safe and sound in New Orleans in few months. Only after that I will seek more spawning action.

So, folks, this is end of the wonderful journey I took with my first discus breeding experience, described in detail in this thread. From the original group of 7 adult Cuipeuas, only pair number 1 is left. I successfully raised a batch of juvies from this pair until they were almost 7 months old. As you know, I will be moving from Rio de Janeiro to New Orleans in about a month and I plan to send the pair to the US with the generous assistance of WB Sabby and Mark from Discus Origins. I will keep everyone updated about this project in other threads, but there will be no more updates in this one. I take this opportunity to thank again this community, especially those that participated in this thread, for everything I have learned and accomplished in discus keeping. SD rules!
