No fair posting to this thread until you've posted a picture. jk, but still highly encouraged.

This little container is in the neighborhood of 40 years old.

I have some books from the 50s if that counts. My dad picked them up in a charity shop.

I live in Eastbourne - the sunniest place in Britain. That isn't really saying much...
Coffee please - black and strong in pint mugs, for best results at least 6 a day.

It has a better chance of counting with a picture or two.

DAFFYFISH - I'd forgotten all about tanks with the flashy trim.

What a great thread Keith! I know I have some things I got back in 1971 when I began keeping fish. I will go look around and post some pics later today.

I think I won this one. Its a rock that I use to tilt my aging barrel to pump the last of the water out. Rocks formed about 3.5 billion years ago . So unless you using a meter.

I have used this in my fresh water tanks since I was a kid. My dad bought this when I was 10/12 years old. It is a piece of petrified wood. It has belonged to me at least 45 years. Who knows how old it really is. I tried to use it in my discus tanks but it does not seem to quite fit.

I think that's what I was going for,not neccesserily how old the object is,but how long you had it/used it.

Ok, here are my 3 oldest fishy things. These are the 3 books I started out with back in 1971. I read them cover to cover. Notice the fish on two of the covers, little did I know back then what was to come in my fish life. Prices were $3.99 for the big one and $1.35 and .90 for the other two.

This past summer I was at an antique store in Door County, Wisconsin and seen this on a shelf. I was going to buy it but we got side-tracked in the wine department, lol. When we were half way home I remembered but was to far away.

Found a picture of the same item, same condition as the one I was going to buy. It says it was from the 40's or 50's.

Maybe when I go back there in the spring I will remember, Lol.
