You could do either.If you put a male in there,there is a choice.If they pair up,the pair could turn on the other female,so keep an eye on them.Its also can sometime happen the three will spawn.Not to common,but not uncommon.
Just confirmed what I hoped was a pair is actually two females? Should I separate then with males or just put the male in with them both?
Double spawn was interesting also, any suggestion would be great also?

I removed the smaller female today because they were teaming up on the Brilliant male (in a bad way).
I'm also not 100% sure the discus I added is a male, but his breeding tube is short and pointed.
Well we'll know soon enough.
