something wrong with my discus?

I have a second discus that is in his own tank/qt right now. As I was watching him tonite, I noticed one of his eyes looks very wierd, this can't be right?

so sorry, I found the questionnaire, my answers in bold.






1. Please explain the problems with your fish/when and how they started

wierd anomaly with his right eye



2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/ white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds)


Not acting out of the normal that I'm aware of. He stays on one side of the tank. The only weird thing I can say is he only faces one way. I only get to see his left side. I just happened to see his right side that once. He does seem to perk up when I come into the room, and "rounds out" his shape (dont know the right words). He only darkens a little when I'm in the tank cleaning things up a bit, etc. I had him in my main tank which has a White Diamond in it, and I think he might have been bullied a little bit. I moved him out because he was always hiding and I was concerned about him.



3. What medications/ treatments that you have already tried and results. Include dosages and duration of treatment.


no medications given yet. Do not know what to try. I have melafix on hand.


Tank/Water

4. Tank size and age, number and size of fish

10 gallon. He's the only fish in this tank, which is being used as quarantine. It was setup before he was put in, but I changed the water, filter,etc


5. Water change regime/ how long has tank been running/ bare bottom or gravel/ do you age your water?

tank is bare bottom. No decorations, just a heater and an airstone. I make my own ro/di water that is stored in a food safe barrel, so in a way, you can say it is aged.

- ammonia reading 2.0 initially, it is zero now after a 75% and 50% water change
