Default Treating Hex and Spiro with (of all things) Epsom Salt?

Hay, y'all, I just read this concerning prophylaxis of Hex and Spiro, and I was wondering what you think?

    Here's the link I read:

Many of my recommendations for treating spiro always include using epsom salts when using metronidazole. I have Noga's book plus others and have read various papers re using magnesium sulphate so would agree with RD. from MFK.

One point, hexamita is spiro - currently it is thought that there are two types which are closely related, the coldwater variant spironucleus hexamita, and the warm water variant spironucleus vortens. I'm not qualified to differentiate the two, but all of the samples I have looked at, look the same to me. Either way the treatment is the same.

    Comfortably numb.
