Default My Red Turqs from Kenny and Forrest...

Very over due here with some pics of the future breeders I got from Kenny and Forrest a few months ago. ...Sorry for the Delay Guys, the Turqs are doing amazing, they are absolutely perfect and extremely healthy. I have had a bunch of spawning and sparing going on in the tank, and its been real hard to not try and play match maker and set up a few pairs.. very very soon.

Just some back ground all.. I asked Kenny months and months ago that if the next time he got in really Nice Red Turqs , I needed them for my breeding program. I'm not patient, but I was ...and it paid off. I was able to score these 8 Gems for my program.

Thanks again Kenny and Forrest for bringing in excellent stock and for remembering my request! I hope to set these up to breed in the coming month ...will post when I do.

More... one pic got a little washed out by the flash, but I liked the result so I am leaving it! It actually shows the defined contrast closer to what I see here when I look at these fish.

Nice fish Al! My own opinion is that I prefer them with blue color stripes along the entire body. Yours have blue lines that almost join into pools of blue at the bottom of the fish. Does anyone else on SD notice this? Just personal preference, I do not think either variety is better than the other. When I went to Hans he had both in the same tank!
I would say that your fish are in the middle between individual lines and lines that pool into blue patches.

    Al,

The pleasure was truly ours. Thank you for the update of them, they look nice and healthy under your usual great care. I hope you get at least 3 pairs from this group(4 pairs would be greedy I think ) and we look forward to seeing the Master breeding once again soon.

    Thanks Al.
