Default Great Discus Parenting Blue Diamond x Cobalt

I have this pair (BD and Cobalt), they're raising a small batch (30) but somehow they get this wound. They still produce slime coat for their frys, I have to admit they're great parents. They both take turns to do their things raising a batch of frys from spawn. I can't get tired of watch it. Anyway, I have to separate the frys and give parents a break. Hopefully, they'll heal soon.

I would hazard a guess that if they're good parents as you say perhaps it just got the wound trying to transfer fry to the mate. I'd just watch it carefully and if starts looking worse pull it. Judging by the size of the fry they're plenty big enough to do without the parent(s) anyway.

Frys are from this batch and big enough to live on their own. I beleive, i was behind on BBS and frys hit on parents hard. I pulled the frys and let parents alone with plenty of WC.

Good luck, but I expect they'll be fine once they get use to the parents being gone. Perhaps a bit freaked at first.

The parents are heal and doing great. I decided to move them back to community tank so they can relax.

here is the video of frys. They're sharing tank with Albino Turq.
