My Visit to Chicago Discus

I feel lucky that I'm only 2 hours away from Chicago so that I have the chance to visit Chicago Discus.

Josie and MS are gracious enough to spend time with me and show me how they operate the hatchery. I was totally amazed by the quality of their stock and how clean and elegant the fish room is. Every tank is spotless and every single fish, pairs or juvs, local bred or imported, are at their top condition. It's a pity that I forgot to bring my camera

, but next time I will for sure. I took a lot of random cellphone pictures, you know they don't do much justice... Thanks Josie and MS, I look forward to visiting you ladies again and see the crazy 8 again (definitely my favorite among all your fish

I feel the same way glad they are only 25 mins from me... All all my Juvie except 3 Piwow from Kraig are all from Josie and Miranda. BTW what did you end up getting?

Beautiful fish room! You use a lot of plugs. Lol! What's your monthly electric bill? I think I have three plugs in the fish house.

The room is pretty warm the heaters are mostly for back up. And I use UVs in the grow outs that's why it looks so heavily plugged LOL. but yea the electric bill definitely did go up after the build. But my home is pretty large so it didn't make that much of a difference.......LOL....Josie
