Thanks Mauro, have you ever seen any of your fish pulse their body about once a second. I watched dad do this last night and in a phone chat with another hobbyist I understand this is used by parent fish to "call" the fry to the parent.

YES! How interesting you mention that. I have noticed that behavior with both of my confirmed pairs and always forgot to ask about it. I was wondering if it was some kind of sign that the parents were producing and/or releasing the slime that feeds the fry. Interesting to learn that it might be the parents´ way to call the fry. Do domestics do the same thing?
