When people walk into the fish room and see him they say wow he must be 8". He is tall and very thick and does look ever bit of 8" but guess what...............he is just a little over 7". He is a great example of people saying their discus are bigger than they really are.

I thought fish were supposed to be measured by just their body, excluding their tail. Is this incorrect? Or are there two ways to measure fish?

They can be measured by total length or standard length, buth are acceptable.

The discus came from Bob Garside from Upper Canada Discus.Comes in at 8".

He grew up on a beef heart mix and 50% or so daily WC's.No meds up until a few months ago,for gill flukes.He is approx. 3.5 years old.
