    Default Faded Color

Just From observing when i moved my 1"-2 " discus from a Sand bottom tank to a BB to help they grow and be healthier & make it easier on me with the water change tank their color faded away i know its not from being sick or anything like that maybe stress or not i am really not sure. my question will they color come back over time or it just the way discus are and their environment and surrounding play a big part in thier color.

At 1-2" they shouldn't really have much coloration. You will see color and pattern develop over time.

drob85, I would not worry about it. They are still getting settle into their new home. In a few days their normal colors well show back up... It's when they are always dark/black is when you should worry. For now, leave the lights off and continue to feed and WC daily.

Yes, bars usually mean stressed and or sick. In your case there is good chance that if they are healthy and eating, that the stripes not showing just means they have recovered from their shipment and are feeling comfortable at home.. Just keep up your WC's and feedings and a good eye for anything else..
