    Default Caught this Gal

Walking across my driveway.Had some crazy downpours last night,no real bodies of water near by.Gave her a lift to the forest preserve.Might not be a gopher tortise, but a pretty big-a$$ slider.Almost takes up the whole bucket bottom.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

The size would rival a gopher tortoise for sure. Of course the gopher being a land tortoise wins the height over a water turtle hands down.

She's pretty cool. Kudos to you for taking her somewhere where she'll be safe.

lol I've never done a turtle. I was going to take them into work and pull up a youtube video on how to do it. I know they are kinda tricky.

Ok, so whats the plan with the little guy, soup or freedom?

Take em to the marsh and let him loose. I hear turtles that big are good for getting rid of geese.

I can talk a good game, but after considering letting her loose in my pond, too small and wouldnt contain her,and not having a 10yr old to beg me to keep her,he's 19 now,I always intended on letting her go.We have a lagoon maybe 2 blocks away, perfect for her.
