They are doing the pecking order thing. How long is the tank?

Any time you relocate/move/add/remove discus (or any cichlid, really) there will be a period of time where they have to sort out a new pecking order. Even young fish do this. Buy a group of cichlids, bring them home, and within a day or two you'll see them tail-slapping and nipping each other. Usually things calm down when they work out who's boss. It won't go away entirely -- I have dominant discus in my tank who still nip and chase their siblings away from food, for instance. It's just cichlid behavior. Wild discus may even be a bit worse.

As long as no one is getting overly stressed or beat up, things should settle down in time. Make sure they're all eating and no one is being bullied to the point of sulking in a corner, etc.

+1 to everything. The alpha (leader) of the tank will be decided once the pecking order is sorted out. He/she will then let the others know he's boss and chase them around and stuff like that.
