Default FS Two 4" Stendker Discus in Northern VA

    Fish Pals,

After considerable reflection, I've decided to hold off on my entry into the Discus world.

I've got so much coming up this school year and while I'm certain I can handle these, I'm just not ready for the concerns and worries which will accompany the investment in the entire shoal that they will need to be successful. Additionally, I'm not yet certain on how to address the lighting needs of my planted tank without stressing these fish too much.

They are presently in my fully cycled and healthy 180g tank. I got these two on Sunday 8/4 from Hans (an awesome experience) and they are yours for a reasonable offer. I paid exactly $125 for the pair. One is a Cobalt and the other is a Brilliant. Both appear to be females, but it might be too young to tell. I can send you pictures upon request. I'm in Leesburg, VA and I'm available at various times.

I'd consider a partial trade for some nice angels.

Hope they find a good home and next summer I can enter the discus world without so many other things on my plate.

Send me a private message with your contact info if you are interested.

    Andrew

He means with a pair = 2 Discus, they are 4" Discus. I'm just surprised because he just bought them last Sunday.

You know of course I don't mind people spending money at my place (after all this is a business he he he) but why not think a little before you spend $125.00.

I'm a little like WHAT???? Special because I still have a 20 tanks with Angels left and for the $125.00 he could have bought a lot of Angels.......... Hans = confused!!!! lol

I'm sorry, guys. I really do love them. I'm just a little worried about creating the right place for them given the REMAINDER of the fish I need to purchase. I still am very interested in getting into this, but I'm just a little worried in the very near future giving these fish the attention they need. I want to do it smart, that's all.

Looks good, but too young to tell if it's female or male. Good luck with your sale.

So I didn't want this to be a betrayal of all things discus, if anything I want to be smart and I just need a few months before I can set up the whole solution I feel is necessary to "do this right."

Quarantine tanks for new fish, bleached plant preparation, battery backup for the heater and filter, 60 gallons of heated water for the 33% water changes and so forth. I know I'm probably overdoing it, but I'm very careful about this sort of thing.

If anything, I think its the responsible thing to do to see when you've perhaps overreached a bit.

Anyways, they are in great shape and I'd feel a lot better if they had a good home.
