Coree, I am more then familiar how discus use their eyes...not sure about the bladder however. Seems that discus have plenty of communication tools.

The eyes, the fins, the whole stance lets you know. My female gives off a "vibe" that says "stick your hand near that cone if you dare" She will usually attack the attachment on the siphon and has even nipped at my hand.

Awesome Pat, observations on behavior outstanding. Here is what might seem like a strange question, do you feel the posturing as well as see it?

So if I am asking this right, do you first see behavior that catches you or do you feel something and then notice the behavior? I am just curious at how people develop observational recognition/ behavior detailing analysis.
