I saw you mention you have a Canon SLR. I can definitely try to help you to take better photos. I viewed your last batch of photos but could not locate the EXIF data. If you do not know what EXIF is, it is basically the recording of all your settings used for that particular photo. If you can get a hold of that info I can help you further.

Additionally, the use of straight on flash is rarely ever flattering. Would you happen to have an external flash? Or a tripod? What type of lenses do you own? Let me know here or via pm and I will help you out.
