    Default Wild Trombeta

Having some wild trombeta coming in from Mark this Wednesday. Here is the picture Mark sent me of the two.

    Male, 6.5-7"

    Female, 6"

Super excited! Not a proven pair but hopefully they will pair up since they've been cozying up together in his tank

Coool !! and beautiful... Wish I had the extra money right now myself but can't buy everything.. ducks, chickens, sheep, fish :0I
I like the small amount of sand Mark has on bottom of tank.. or looks like it. I use a thin layer of a little larger grain

I have seen these fish in person and they are very nice. They have been hanging out together for quite a while. Best of luck with them.

Not the best picture but here they are a few weeks later, fully acclimated and eating tetrabit/ocean formula flakes

Very nice! After several months of good care you will see how their colors develop in amazing ways. If possible, please take pictures at night with only the tank lights on.

I'm not the best picture savvy guy... maybe I'll get rfish (ryan) to come over and take some pictures for me

On another note, the female and the male are cleaning the heater!!! Possible interest in spawning maybe, but at least they have not beat each other up at all so I'm really hoping they are a pair. Props to Mark for sending me these great fish

Thanks pat I hope it was the case.

Here is a best picture of the male taken a few minutes ago (as you can tell, iPhone quality lol)

    And of the couples

The lighting is led but the water is pretty yellow
due to tannin and peat. I was trying to keep them in tap but they stressed out quite a bit in pure tap (med hard water in my area). So I mix about 70/30 tap and ro and add some peats in and they are quite happy now.
