Wow,..what a difference! I see nice light body color (happy fish) and much more red coloration as well. Very nice! I particularly like the semi royal male (second fish from the left) Very nice!
A quick group pic after wc today the color is filling in nicely

Not much as changed in my tank.. Got some light breeding activity going on now and I just got a new DSA tank so I will be transferring the discus to it soon. Probably use the old tank as a heckle project if fund permits.
On another news I lost my alpha male to whirling disease last week, couldn't quite save him this time and he was gone within 48 hours... None of the other fish seem to be affected.
Scary how similar this look compare to Matt's picture
And his size
Sorry to hear Winn

After some heavy casualty due to this mysterious whirling bout (loss of 4 total), I'm down to 7 alenquer/trombetas. The original trombetas pair from Mark has survived through all this and is on their way to the 2 years mark with me in a few months. I'm thinking about moving them to their own tank and hopefully start breeding them again, but seems like I do have a heavy female group of either 2 males/5 females or 3 males/4 females. All the females have turned on their halo and start being quite bossy with each other the past few days. Definitely some heavy bullying going on and the two smallest females have been chased around non stop.
Some updated pics of the fish
Wild alenquer female from John
Wild trombeta male from Mark
Wild Nhanumda from Mark (via WBSabby)

Good gracious Winn, your group is stunning. I hear you had a bout with the whirling disease and lost more than one. Im battling this right now and I sure hope it doesn't take them all.

It is a 48 (L) x 24 (w) x 17 (h), comes out about ~90 gallon I think. It is a rimless tank but since my wilds tend to like floor surfing I have since then cover it with a custom piece of glass top.
Thanks Pat, saw your group from WBSabby this year, they are totally awesome. Even WBSabby said this year the Cuipea collection has been a lot redder vs previous years for some reason. I definitely missed out by not jumping on the band wagon for this shipment.
Thanks Winn, they literally glow.
