Default New fish room, autofill auto drain

I am currently interested in setting up an 8 tank breeding room with an auto fill/auto drain system direct from 3- 200gal rodi storage and conditioning tanks, leaving me about 3 days worth of water before having to recondition.. I have the ro/di storage and conditioning setup drawn out, but have no idea where to start with an auto fill/auto drain system..I do not want to have to drill the tanks and I do not want to have to deal with any spillage (carpeted room). My plan is for 6 - 20 gal longs and 2 - 40-55 gal grow out tanks, Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I would consider 6 growout tanks and 2 breeders.....those fry take up a lot of space. i have been thinking of setting of a room and was thinking of 2 55 gal tanks per breeder.

I would be using 4-20 gals for the breeders and the other 2-20's for young fry, the two 55 gals would be for the older fry, separated by age.
I also have a 125 gallon planted show tank (currently only 3 Cory's and 12 cherry barbs) I could keep a few pairs in there, once fry were eating LBS if needed. That is IF I become successful at it! If I do I could and I would add a few more tanks, shortly after having to move a pair or two. This is my small scale test run.

I am planning on moving in about 6-12 months...When I do, I plan on setting up a larger 40-60 tank breeding room (not just for discus) Once that is set up and running, I can move the fish from my place to the new place with water parameters preset to match their previous tanks. Where I want to move is only about 45 minutes away.

Aquadream, I hope you don't move too far away from Huntington Beach. I really want to check out your set up. I'm local to your location about 10-15 mins drive.

You will able to hold more tanks if you clean your garage. This is Kevin by the way

20 Long is not a good choice for discus.

Agreed, they would appreciate the extra height of a 29.

Nothing wrong with a 20, just needs to be a 20 high

I can easily make them 29's- this is why I am here after all. Kevin, are you the one that helped set up the autofill/auto drain system for diamond_discus? This is where I need help. When I move it will be to Long beach or San Pedro. If you are that Kevin, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh ok. Well after some research and thought, I figured out a system that will work! I will start building the rack in about 3-4 weeks and I will keep you guys updated with some photos. Of course you can check it out in person if you want Kevin. I'm happy all this is finally coming together.

It's going to be really hard to do auto fill/drain setup if ur not willing to drill tanks
