Bug, that female striated in the first pic is to die for.
I've mentioned before that my discus breeding shuts down in the Summer. My fish room is in my unfinished basement and the temp gets in the mid to high 80's during the Summer. The tank water stays around 82 to 84 and the storage water is the same temp. My discus sense the dry season and breeding comes to a halt. It was more noticeable this year than ever before. I currently have 9 pairs in breeding tanks. The last week of August the weather here started to change. It wasn't a big change but it was very noticeable to the discus. The temp in my storage totes dropped down to around 78 and for the first time in many months I was able to do water changes with cooler water. It was like a light switch was flipped. All but two of the 9 pairs started spawning and I have 3 new confirmed pairs. I have 7 tanks with eggs, wigglers or fry in them. What a change!! Here are a few pics.
New Proven Pair. Stendker SS x Stendker Scribbled - Male is proven, thanks Hans!!

Anyone else out there experience a really dramatic change with the change of Seasons?

The Piwarwski pair is really nice. Congrats.
Wow Larry, good thing you are "retired", you will be needing the extra time it looks like. Beautiful fish!

Looking great Larry.

Weather provoded you with the all the spawning triggers you needed. Too bad yo dont have wilds, this would trigger them to spawn too. Nice discus.
Looking good buddy.
Looks like your place will be the next meeting. Lol.
