Any believers out there ?
After having done a good deal of research over many months, including listening to a number of very plausible talks, among others, by Robert Dean and Charles Hall, both intelligent, believable ex-military, I recently ran across the book - "A.D. - After Disclosure" - written by Richard Dolan and Bryce Zabel.
These two are seemingly well-informed, educated researchers who appear to be very much in the know, i.e. having actually been exposed, in my view, to evidence of extra-terrestrial life on earth, or having otherwise been fully convinced of it, who felt the need to examine the (very thought-provoking) potential world changes and consequences after the governments of the world finally admit the truth - which these researchers feel is soon to come.
They examine the different ways in which they feel disclosure is actually now subtly taking place, and likely to be fully divulged, and provide their views as to what the 3 groups involved should be doing about it now - the 3 groups being a) -believers (&/or those who actually know); b) the non-believing majority of earthlings; and c) the extra-terrestrials themselves who are here on earth or regular visitors to our planet.
A little dry at times, but a very interesting read. I've also ordered the book, 'Alien Agenda', by Jim Marrs who wrote the foreword to A.D.
I know this is a very controversial topic, but I've opened this thread for a little change of pace, and at the risk of being considered a crackpot because I put myself in the "believer" category, and I'm looking for any other thoughts on the subject.

Can't rule out what you can't prove. A lot of people don't have problem believing in God which you can't see. So why not an ET?

I don't believe in the probings but I do believe there has to be some form oflife somewhere else. Im just not sure about that life visiting us. But it would be neat if other solar systems had discus too.
I wouldn't have expected anything less from you, John .... lol ..... and I agree there are crackpots in both camps, probably in all 3 camps for that matter !
Anyone done any lengthy research into Areas 51, 52, 53, 54 - & Indian Springs, of Nevada ?
I've done some and it's interesting stuff - that the government keeps saying doesn't exist ! What have they been doing with The Roswell 'stuff' ?

So, many of you believe that the thousands of documented UFO sightings around the world each year, for at least the past hundred years that we know of, have been nothing more than natural phenomena, or hallucinatory-type experiences ?
I have to show this post to my hb who has done quite a bit of research on the subject also... I'm not a die hard believer but just can't discount the some of the research that has been done. If you're interested he can send you as list of some other books he has read the ones you mentioned are on his list to read

I think everyone should watch the 4 seasons of Ancient Aliens on the History Channel and then decide for yourself what you think. I have watched every one. Truly a fascinating series.

I'll bet it was. Wish I had seen even one show. And we get the History Channel up here, but I've never noticed that series.
Ill watch for it.
LOL Not a big surprise there.I am fully in the non-believer camp. Everyone is free to believe what they want to and I might be comlpetely wrong but I think its bunk....oh and there are crack pots in both camps.....
I have not followed this topic in much detail, not like discus, but I am a total believer! I have followed the Kean Reports, and others through out the years. It is sometimes hard to wade through the bunk weather deliberate or not. Living in the Great Lakes I have seen too much to make me question the honesty of the air force and other military. As far as abduction theory, well I am much more skeptical but it might well be plausible. So send me info, and book names, and anything else on this topic, love to read it.

My great uncle was in the Air Force for 25 years, then worked at the Pentagon and later for NASA. He was the smartest man I've ever known. He refused to ever speak about any direct evidence of UFOs or extraterrestrials, but he would constantly say things like, "Look up at all those millions of stars -- do you really think we are alone?" He also distanced himself from the rest of his family who were deeply religious. He told us after the stuff he'd seen, he was not a religious man anymore. He never would elaborate on that. He was a very private guy.
He ended up with cancer when I was in my teens and the hospital put him on heavy pain medication. He started telling us all kinds of crazy stuff, which prompted NASA to send one of his long-time colleagues to sit with him at all times in the hospital. If my uncle started talking about anything work-related, the NASA guy would ask us all to leave. After my uncle's death, a team of people were sent to remove all books, computers, etc. from his home. The whole thing was very surreal.
Whether or not anything was related to aliens, I don't know. I do know that most of his time with the Air Force was in Roswell and he worked on several projects that he was never allowed to tell his wife or children about. Even after his death there were a lot of chunks of time that were never accounted for -- my aunt still has no idea where he was or what he was doing. So it's always fun to speculate what it all might have been.
One would think that any alien life form that has evolved enough to have mastered travel at or near the speed of light would be either parasitic and have conquered us by now or smart enough not to meddle in our affairs. Assuming that the universe was created at the same time (big bang) we stand just a great a chance as being the most advanced life form (assuming there are others) as any of the rest......just something to ponder.
