I'm looking for vibrant colors checkerboards, snakeskins, I don't want anything dark or the orange ones that look like giant goldfish. I want purples blues stuff like that with great patterns

I've bought from somethingsphishy and they were healthy and I qt them for 2 weeks they are doing really good. I got a royal purple from there that doesn't look royal purple it looks brown with turquoise but this could be bc he's very small only 2 inch I don't expect his color to show this early. I also got a dragon who looks very awesome. I ordered a turquoise that died bc there was a snow storm and his arrival was delayed. They shipped me a new one free of charge but when I got it it looks like a blue diamond no markings he's very beautiful depending on the angle ur looking at him he looks blue sky blue or purple with beautiful fins. I ordered a 2 in he was more like 3 in but I'm not complaining.

You can go to the sponsor section here and find a number of sellers that ship anywhere in the country. Several have websites with pictures of their fish.

Sounds good. I really want websites because I want to see what they looks like. I have been on the hans discus website before and I didn't like the way they looked it could just be the pictures weren't that great

There are others who are not sponsors you can find with google, but some of them have bad reputations for shipping the wrong fish, poor quality fish, etc. One I've used who used to be a member on sd is sunrisetropicals.com. You can see pictures of what he has and he is a good guy to deal with. My favorite fish came from there- albino golden yellow- bought at about 2". I think he just got some new stock in.

If you like your fish from somethingsphishy, I can see why you don't like Hans fish. Quite a difference between the two.

It's not that I didn't like them I just couldn't see them that we'll in the pictures. I only have 6 discus and 3 came from somethingsphishy and the others we ordered from a place called elegant Reef.
