Poret foam: PPI and thickness questions for sump

Ok so I decided that for my sump on the 120 it would be a 40 breeder and I would divide it up into 3 sections using Poret foam. My question is how thick should the Poret foam be and what PPI (10, 20, or 30)? Thank you all and I apologize for the amount of threads I'm posting, trying to get this sump thing right...

I got 2" 10 and 4" 30 size. Use both.

Thanks. What is the reason for the varying thickness and PPI? How many different sections Is your sump divided into? And also do you put the 2" foam or 4" foam first?

4" first. U would need a thickone to be able to act as separater. Then smaller 10 size one to collect smaller debris that passed thru the 40.

Isn't the 10 PPI less "fine" with bigger pores? Doesn't that mean the smaller debris would pass through the 10 PPI?

Where do you purchase poet foam in the U.S ? I've only found 1 website @ plecocaves.com for 30$. I want to see if there's anyone else out there that has it also.
