Twice the wattage usage and almost double the air output.
What's the difference between these two air pumps (except the price):

Alita AL-15A:

Thank you.

Chris
The 6a operates at 13 watts and 11 liters per minute of air and the 15 is 26 watts and 20 lpm. So yes the 15a is a bit more powerful in volume perspective they both put out the same pressure.
Chris
It is the volume of air output or flow
Chris
Chris, can the 15a drive more airstones?
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
I'm assuming so with twice the volume output it should.
Chris
I would guess it would depend on the resistance in the airstones and the depth of the water.

I'm not sure how many air stones you are trying to power but either one should be able to power quite a few. I had an al40 a few years back which was tremendous overkill for the 5 tanks I had it on, even ken told me it would run some ridiculous number of tanks.
Chris
This is true Pat, OP did not mention what it will be running?
Chris
I have been looking at these two but have not decide on which one to get. I'm carious to see how many stones it can output...
Ok so I wanted I go with a power full air pump (instead of those whispers) to aerate the k1 media in my 40 B sump which is on my 120. I plain on using those long, 8-12 inch airstones
Will also have some of those plastic Airstones Forrest sells in the 120
R, how many of these airstone are you planning on running? Perhaps four?
