    To bleed the air, that's the only other way. Putting a valve in will just cause back pressure on the pump making it work harder. If you truly are going to expand and if anytime soon I would go with one of the Alitas if not go with the one Rick suggested.

    On the site it says it's not quite. Linear pumps are the only one I know that are quiet.

    Default Differences between these air pumps?

    I have an Alita al15, I use it to run 10-15 air lines in my fish room. I use to bleed air when I first installed the pump by adding open ended air line to the system. This was very quiet compared to just leaving extra air valves open. Adding the airline to the open valves acted like a muffler. With 10 lines, the pump is silent.
